SteelRidge Auto Group LLC Bidder Terms and Conditions
SteelRidge Auto Group LLC (“SteelRidge Auto Group”) is a licensed, bonded, and insured Iowa auto dealer. Our objective is to assist buyers in purchasing salvage vehicles directly from auction sources.
Because salvage laws and regulations vary by state and country, we strive to guide buyers through the applicable salvage and rebuilding processes based on our 15+ years of industry experience. However, buyers remain solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction.
SteelRidge Auto Group LLC is an independent entity and is not owned by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Copart, Inc. (“Copart”), Insurance Auto Auctions (“IAA” or “IAAI”), or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.
All vehicle transactions are conducted solely through SteelRidge Auto Group LLC.
BY REGISTERING WITH STEELRIDGE AUTO GROUP LLC, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE REGISTERING WITH AND PURCHASING VEHICLES THROUGH STEELRIDGE AUTO GROUP LLC, AND NOT DIRECTLY THROUGH COPART OR IAA.
Transportation and Vehicle Condition
SteelRidge Auto Group offers nationwide transportation services, as well as international container and Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) shipping to major ports worldwide at competitive rates.
SteelRidge Auto Group makes no representation or warranty regarding the condition, safety, operability, or roadworthiness of any vehicle purchased through our services.
Buyers are strongly encouraged to ask questions and conduct inspections prior to bidding.
All inquiries, payments, disputes, and concerns must be directed exclusively to SteelRidge Auto Group and not to Copart or IAA.
All vehicles are sold strictly “AS IS, WHERE IS.”
Bidding, Approval, and Payment Terms
Certain vehicles may be sold “On Approval.” In such cases, the seller may accept or reject the highest bid within forty-eight (48) hours after the auction closes.
Once SteelRidge Auto Group notifies a bidder that a bid has been accepted, the buyer must submit full payment by wire transfer within forty-eight (48) hours.
Vehicles will not be released until SteelRidge Auto Group confirms receipt of cleared funds.
Prior to release of the vehicle, the buyer must pay all applicable:
- Auction fees
- Storage fees
- Transportation fees
- DMV or title-related fees
- SteelRidge Auto Group commissions and service charges
- Late fees or penalties
Failure to remit payment within the required timeframe may result in forfeiture of the buyer’s deposit, cancellation of bidding privileges, additional auction penalties, and/or relisting of the vehicle.
U.S. Residents
All salvage vehicles must be fully repaired and inspected in the buyer’s home state before registration or operation on public roads.
Buyers are responsible for verifying all title, inspection, registration, emissions, and salvage requirements with their local DMV or governing authority.
International Buyers
International buyers are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all import/export laws, customs regulations, taxes, duties, VAT obligations, emissions requirements, and registration requirements in their destination country.
