Is SteelRidge Auto Group affiliated with Copart or IAA?

No. SteelRidge Auto Group is an independent company and is not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Copart or IAA. We provide broker services that allow customers to access dealer-only salvage auctions.

Who can register and bid?

Any individual or business that is legally able to enter into a binding contract and meets our registration requirements may register to bid.

Why should I buy through a salvage auction?

Salvage auctions can provide significant savings compared to traditional vehicle pricing. Many buyers purchase vehicles for rebuilding, parts, exporting, or resale purposes.

Registration & Bidding
How do I register?

Simply complete our online registration process and submit the required information and deposit. Once approved, you will receive access to begin bidding.

Do I need a dealer license to bid?

No. SteelRidge Auto Group allows the public to access dealer-only salvage auctions through our broker services.

Is there a registration fee or deposit?

Yes. A refundable security deposit is required to activate bidding privileges. Deposits are refundable provided the account remains in good standing and no fees are owed.

Can I bid live during the auction?

Yes. You can participate in live online bidding at over 200+ auction locations nationwide.

What happens if I win a bid?

Once your bid is accepted and approved by the seller, you will receive an invoice and payment instructions from SteelRidge Auto Group.

How long do I have to pay for a vehicle?

Payment must typically be made within 48 hours after the vehicle is awarded.

What payment methods are accepted?

Wire transfer is the primary accepted payment method for vehicle purchases.

Vehicle Condition & Inspection
Are the vehicles inspected before sale?

Vehicles are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS.” Buyers are responsible for inspecting vehicles prior to bidding. Third-party inspection services may also be available through the auction.

Can I inspect a vehicle before bidding?

Yes. Buyers may inspect vehicles before the auction, subject to auction facility rules and applicable gate fees.

Are the vehicles drivable?

Not necessarily. Many salvage vehicles are not roadworthy and may require repairs before they can legally be driven.

Do vehicles come with keys?

Keys are not guaranteed, even if auction listings or photos show keys present.

Can SteelRidge Auto Group guarantee the condition of a vehicle?

No. We do not guarantee vehicle condition, mileage, title status, repair history, drivability, or roadworthiness. Buyers should conduct their own due diligence before bidding.

What does “salvage title” mean?

A salvage title generally means the vehicle was declared a total loss by an insurance company or sustained significant damage. Salvage laws vary by state.

Pickup, Transportation & Shipping
Can I drive the vehicle home after purchase?

No. All vehicles purchased through Copart or IAA must be towed from the auction facility.

Does SteelRidge Auto Group provide transportation?

Yes. We can assist with nationwide transportation and international shipping arrangements.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes. We offer container and Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) shipping services to major international ports.

Who is responsible for transportation costs?

All transportation, storage, customs, taxes, and shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

How long do I have to pick up my vehicle?

Most auctions provide approximately 3 business days of free storage. After that, daily storage fees may apply.

What happens if I do not pick up my vehicle on time?

The auction may charge storage fees and could relist the vehicle if it is not removed within the required timeframe.

Titles, Registration & Legal Questions
Can I register a salvage vehicle immediately?

In most states, salvage vehicles must first be repaired and pass required inspections before registration.

Does SteelRidge Auto Group guarantee a vehicle can be registered?

No. Buyers are solely responsible for verifying registration, inspection, and title requirements in their state or country.

Are international buyers responsible for customs requirements?

Yes. International buyers are fully responsible for understanding and complying with their country’s customs, import, export, tax, and registration laws.

What should I check before buying?

We strongly recommend verifying:

Is my security deposit refundable?

Yes, provided your account remains in good standing and there are no unpaid fees or reneged bids.

How long do refunds take?

Most refunds are processed within 3–5 business days, though processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

Is the security deposit applied toward the vehicle purchase?

No. Security deposits are held separately and are not automatically applied toward vehicle purchases.

What happens if I fail to pay for a vehicle I won?

Failure to complete payment may result in:

Loss of your security deposit
Relisting fees
Suspension of bidding privileges
Additional collection or legal fees

Who do I contact with questions about my bid or payment?

All questions regarding bids, payments, invoices, transportation, or vehicle issues must be directed to SteelRidge Auto Group.

Should I contact Copart or IAA directly?

No. Customers purchasing through SteelRidge Auto Group should not contact Copart or IAA regarding bids, payments, or account matters related to our services.

What happens if I forget my login information?

Contact SteelRidge Auto Group support for assistance with account access and password resets.

Can my account become inactive?

Yes. Accounts with extended inactivity may be deactivated and require reactivation before future bidding.
